In April, some municipal police officers stopped at the shelter. While out driving around, they came across 7 puppies in the middle of nowhere, by the San Vicente canal/river(4 females, 3 males). They didn’t see anyone or a mom dog around. They asked if we would accept them. Of course we said yes! So they went back to get them and brought them to us. The pups were fed, given water and taken to our vet. They then went to a foster home for 3 weeks to be monitored and have their vaccines started.
Since then they have been at the shelter they are thriving and lovely puppies. Not knowing the parents, they seem to be your typical mexi-mutts who will be medium sized. We do think they have some shepherd in them. All are very dog and human social, loves toys like any puppy and it seems many of them love the water. Accepting applications NOW!
