Our Volunteers
Our mission continues with the help of multiple people who volunteer at the rescue shelter, at fundraising events, and who are instrumental in finding homes for the dogs. We rely on many people and are extremely grateful every hour, every effort, and every heart involved for their time and efforts. We couldn’t do this without you.

Volunteer Coordinator, Adoption Outreach, Digital Content
I’m an advocate for animal welfare. Originally from Missouri, my journey has taken me across the United States—Georgia, Florida, Kansas, and Colorado—and most recently to Nayarit, Mexico.
Over the years, I’ve held diverse roles: manager, dispatcher, exchange student coordinator, teacher, and cancer survivor. Each chapter—whether professionally rewarding or personally challenging—has shaped who I am today.
My love for animals has been a constant thread. Growing up on a Missouri farm, dogs were always part of our lives. I’ve adopted three rescue dogs of my own, each bringing immeasurable joy and purpose. Witnessing the transformative power of rescue inspired me to take action.
Today, I dedicate my time and skills to support the dogs of Mexico through A Dog’s New Life A.C. Helping those who can’t speak for themselves is more than a mission—it’s a dream fulfilled.

I am driven by passion, strongly believing in being a voice for the voiceless and in giving a second chance. Doing things when nobody else will and finding the resources to do so. Someone very close to me once told me "If not me, then who?". That has stuck with me in my mind since.
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Most of my time has been spent working for Doctors at a family practice and assisting in relief projects- for Foster children, Refugees, Homeless, etc and now I assist in rescue adoptions for the PNW/States. It all started when our family adopted a mama dog (Sadie) and daughter (Cora). I went through the process of adoption myself- our girl were flown to Portland, OR separately and the rest has been history. I knew my heart and how much I had to give and how easily misunderstood I was, but never in my life did I think I would have a dog that would match my soul. Since adopting my girls, I have continuously been shown true and unconditional love and sacrifice. I try to help our rescue dogs have that chance at real love and owners too! It takes effort and a village-but it can be done. Where there is a will-there is a way.
