Camila is currently in a 4 week board and train with Shield K9 of Ottawa/Beds For Tails Kennels. She is available for adoption and can be applied for now. They were gracious enough to donate the board/train to our rescue. An offer we couldn’t pass up!
Camila is an active dog who will require an alpha adopter. She’s very smart and can be strong willed. She would do amazing with an active owner, a runner or hiker. She’s allowed out of her kennel but doesn’t like to be around so many dogs at once. at the shelter and is with several other dogs but does also like her own personal space and will retreat to her kennel at times. She walks well on leash and has a lot of love to give. She’d thrive being on a schedule and stimulated. She was found abandoned in La Cruz as a puppy by an independent rescuer. She adopted her out to the US and then brought her back. She had nowhere to go so asked for our help. Unfortunately, this rescuer basically disappeared on us, leaving Camila in our care and not helping with her care or future adoption. She was more or less abandoned with us in 2022. She is a larger, strong dog, so we wouldn’t recommend she be around smaller children. A childless home would be best.
She has been doing amazing with her training. We are thrilled she was finally given a chance to leave the shelter and start a new life. She can be applied for now!
