🐾 Eva – Our Gentle Sanctuary Grandma
Eva’s story began when she was reported on Facebook wandering the streets of Puerto Vallarta, not far from the Vista Vallarta golf course. At the same time, we were contacted directly about her, and knowing how much we love seniors, we immediately said yes to helping her. She was transported to our care shortly after.
When Eva arrived, she was very underweight and suffering from demodex mange (non‑contagious). Exhausted from her time on the streets, she spent her first few days sleeping almost around the clock. It’s clear she has endured a hard life and carried many litters of puppies over the years.
Though she is quiet and frail, we are already seeing her spirit return. Eva now roams freely around Puppyland, where the little ones adore her — perhaps seeing her as their “grandma.” She has perked up, loves attention, and is often spotted wagging her tail.
Because of her age, Eva will not be available for adoption outside the country. She can be forever fostered locally, or she will remain with us as a cherished sanctuary dog, living out her golden years surrounded by love and care. Her coat is improving, and her gentle soul shines brighter every day.
