Abandoned on a rooftop in a home in Jarretaderas with 2 other dogs. With the assistance of the Nayarit animal welfare officer, we were able to access the home to provide vet care and food. They were eventually able to be moved to the shelter when a kennel was available. She came into our care June 2022. While she is a beautiful dog, she is not a match for everyone.
Flora is a high energy dog. She does fine around most other dogs but wants to be the alpha. She does not do super well in a high energy shelter, as it over stimulates her. She is strong on leash and we will only adopt her to someone with dog experience who is also committed to training her, possibly working with a trainer. She is very smart so would benefit from an alpha owner. We will be very selective with her adopter. No condos or apartments. She needs a fenced yard or large property as she likes to run and be free. She is good with people and of course she loves attention. She does share a large area of the shelter with a male and Popi (Popis) who could be her sister, as they were rescued together.
