Gelato was seen running on the country roads not far from the shelter. He was with another larger puppy, but that pup wouldn’t let us grab him. Gelato was quite underweight, exhausted and had a little mange starting. Of course now he is very healthy. He is playful, social and so sweet. He loves being held and loves to snuggle in bed with our director. We’d like to see him go to a home with another smaller, playful dog, as that’s how he thrives. We are not sure of his breed but probably has some chihuahua in him. He has really long legs. We do think he will remain under 25lbs but we aren’t yet sure if he will fit in an in cabin bag due to his height. Most likely he will need to travel in a small crate. He should be fully ready for adoption by the end of June.
