Female - Mixed Breed
Age: March 2025
On January 23, we welcomed Goldie into our care. She had been posted the night before on Facebook after being found and protected in Paraiso Vallarta—literally starving. Of course, we immediately said we’d accept her into our care. According to neighbors, Goldie had been abandoned inside an empty house in Paraiso Vallarta, a large neighborhood with hundreds of homes. She was left locked inside. When the owners later decided to rent the house, they simply threw her out onto the street. We truly cannot comprehend how someone could do this; first lock her up alone with no food or care, then discard her when she was no longer “convenient”.
What makes this even harder to accept is that neighbors were aware of the situation and did nothing. So now there are two guilty parties Sadly, nothing will happen to anyone, as we are still painfully far behind when it comes to animal rights. Thankfully, one person refused to look the other way. She saw and rescued Goldie, protected her and reached out for help. The very next day, she brought Goldie to us.
Despite everything she’s been through, Goldie has an incredible spirit. She spent a couple of days kenneled at Puppyland to rest and decompress, and now she’s out and blending in beautifully. She’s a total sweetheart with both dogs and humans.
She is going to make an amazing companion, and we are so excited for her future!!
