herman

Male - Mixed Breed

Age: August 2024 | Weight: 17kg

Someone rescued Herman off the streets and contacted us asking for help. They were concerned he was very thin and they thought he has TVT (transmissable venereal tumors), a highly contagious STD in street dogs which causes cancerous tumors. They said he was very sensitive to touch as well. He was taken to our vet where it was determined to not be TVT. Our vet thought he might be a hermaphrodite, with both sexual organs. His blood tests, just a little anemia. When he was sterilized, the vet determined he in fact was a male. His testicles were inside his body and not dropped and his penis, what his rescuer thought was TVT, is an undeveloped penis. The vet said he could cauterize it, for esthetics, but we didn’t feel it was necessary. After about a week with us, he became a new dog. He is very energetic and puppy like. He needs space to run. He loves zooming all around and playing with other dogs. He pees mostly like a female but otherwise, all is great with his health. He could put on a bit more weight but we think he will always be on the thinner side. He is now fully ready for adoption and would love an active owner.
