Kibo was being kept on the second story of a house when he fell off, this prompted the person who had him to ask for help. Kibo came to us in April 2022. Kibo was immediately placed into a foster home where he was house‑trained and leash‑trained. He spent time around many dogs at the shelter, learning to socialize, though it can take him a little while to warm up to new people and situations. At heart, Kibo is a gentle but sometimes insecure pup who finds comfort in toys, snuggles, and splashing in the water.
Kibo was adopted to Vancouver, but sadly the placement did not go well. The adopters restricted him from being around other dogs, labeling him as leash aggressive. We quickly intervened, moved him from their home, and brought him back to Mexico. Since returning, Kibo has truly thrived at the shelter — running free, playing joyfully with the other dogs, and showing how much he loves both people and canine companions.
Seeing how happy and balanced he is with us, we know that Kibo belongs here. We won’t put him through another possibly unsuccessful opportunity. He will remain a cherished sanctuary dog, living out his life surrounded by freedom, play, and love.
