Male - Mixed Breed

Age: February 2025 | Weight: 8kg & growing…

We were contacted about Kid because he couldn’t walk. A woman had him and his siblings, everyone was fine but him. After seeing our vet, it was determined the tick born illness, erlichea(very common here) was likely the cause of him not being able to walk. His platelets were extremely low and he was anemic. Then shortly after receiving him, he developed a fever and tested positive to parvo. He initially tested negative so it may have been incubating during the first test. He was admitted to the vet and treated. Now, Kid is thriving. His bloodwork is great and he is a very playful puppy. He’s growing well and loves both people and dogs alike. He’s become one of the favorites of everyone at the shelter; a big cuddler! He is in the middle of his vaccine schedule at should be completed with vaccines by the end of August. Then he will be neutered. As with most the dogs we rescue, we can’t say how big he will be but likely 40-50lbs, the usual size for Mexican dogs. He can be applied for at anytime! Who can resist those gorgeous eyes?
