Lito came to us with 4 others dogs from Tepic, Nayarit. A rescuer had been contacting us asking for help with the many dogs she had. She had not been able to find homes for any of the dogs. She had him neutered but had completed no other vetting protocols on him. Now in our care, he’s already been blood tested and vaccinated. His actual name from the rescuer (has two) is Canelito or Chapito. We decided to shorten it and go with something familiar.
He is in cabin sized. He’s very dog social and sweet however he prefers to play with female dogs only. He can take a couple minutes to initially trust humans but once he does, he loves being picked up and held by adults. We do not recommend he go to a family with small children. He is okay with cats. We are accepting apps for him now!
