Female - Mixed Breed

On May 19, we welcomed Livvi into our care. She was originally posted on Facebook by a kind person who found her and reached out to us for help.

It appears Livvi was hit by a car near the Mega grocery store in Bucerías. She has several scrapes and cuts, along with an injury to her back right leg. Thankfully, there are no fractures, and our veterinarian is confident she should regain full use of the leg within about three weeks. For now, Livvi is getting some much-needed rest and recovery in a kennel in Puppyland. Her initial bloodwork looked good, although we are still waiting for her heartworm test results. She arrived covered in ticks, so we will repeat blood testing in the coming weeks to ensure she does not develop ehrlichiosis.

Livvi is a tiny girl, weighing just 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). Our veterinarian estimates she is approximately 7 years old. She is incredibly sweet and comfortable around people, which leads us to believe she likely had a home at some point in her life.

She has started all of her intake protocols but will not be spayed until her leg has fully healed. At this time, Livvi is on medical hold and is not available for adoption.
