Lolo (first known as Canelo) came into our care July 2026. He was rescued by the Green Patrol, Nayarit’s animal welfare officers, in May ‘26. He appears to have been hit by a car as he favors his back left let/hip at times, but he is improving daily. He does have a little loss muscle mass there too from not using it for a couple months. He should make a full recovery. He has a haziness to his eyes. The vets say is not fully blind but can see shadows. He adapted very quickly at the shelter and gets around great. He is really good with the other dogs, but sometimes he doesn’t fully see them and can run into them. He can get up and down stairs but would need to be monitored since he doesn’t see perfectly. He is the nicest little guy. Loves to have “a person” and would be a nice velcro dog. We don’t recommend a home with small children since he can’t fully see. He has shown zero aggression but the unpredictability of small children and their movements could frighten him. He is a lovely boy who deserves a wonderful, loving home. And let’s not leave out that underbite…how can you not love this guy!! Lolo is ready to find is home. Could it be with you??
