Manguito

Male - Mixed Breed

Age: January 2022 | Weight: 7kg

*special needs-paralyzed*

Manguito was reported on facebook as needing help. He was seen laying on the side of the road in Los Manguitos, a neighborhood in Mezcales. Nobody was helping him until the Nayarit Green Patrol showed up to rescue him. Because there is no municipal shelter in this state, they asked us to accept him into our care. It was originally thought he would be able to walk again. Unfortunately he is paralyzed on his back end. But he is still full of life! He gets along great with other dogs and loves people. We do currently have a wheelchair for him to zoom around in, but he can’t be in it for extended periods of time. Since he is paralyzed he is also incontinent, so can’t control his pee or poo. He is used to wearing a diaper now. We’d love to see this happy guy have a home so he can have more focused care and possibly some rehab on his back legs. He will be fully ready for adoption by mid-February and can be applied for now.
