Maruchan was rescued in San Vicente by one of our staff members. She was living in the home, but mostly the streets, and owned by a drug addict. They were able to bring her to safety and into our care. She is a distemper survivor, as evidenced by her persistent mouth and body twitch. At times it isn’t as noticeable but is more obvious when she’s resting/sleeping. She’s a very quiet dog on the side of lower energy. She loves to be with people and does well around the other dogs. We think she’d prefer a home away from so many dogs. The shelter is a bit busy for her. Her vetting has been completed, and she was treated with antibiotics for erlichea/low platelets. She is not in cabin sized but is full size at her age. Before coming to the shelter, she did live with several cats and is totally fine. She’s now ready for her forever home.
