Mimi
Female - Terrier mix
Age: August 2019 | Weight: 8.2 kg
Mimi arrived from Tepic, Nayarit along with four other dogs, transferred to us by another rescuer who needed help finding them homes. When she first came into our care, Mimi was very shy—she wouldn’t allow most of us to touch her during the first two weeks. We later learned she had been the same way with her previous rescuer, needing several weeks to fully decompress.
With time and patience, Mimi has begun to come out of hiding and now spends time around the other dogs. As with all new home situations, she will need an adopter who understands that her adjustment period may take several weeks—or longer—as she learns she is safe.
Mimi is too large to travel comfortably in an in-cabin bag. She has a tender side that shines when she’s near puppies. Her whole demeanor softens, as if she misses being a mother. Mimi has been blossoming with each day. She is a sweet girl but still a little nervous upon meeting new people.
