Mimi came to us from Tepic, Nayarit from another rescuer and 4 other dogs. The rescuer had not fully vetted them and wasn’t able to get them adopted so asked for our help. She has taken awhile to warm up, not letting most of us even touch her in the first two weeks. Apparently she was the same with her rescuer, taking several weeks to decompress. We have already seen change as she has come out from hiding and is our around the other dogs. She will require a very patient adopter who understands it could be several weeks of decompression time. We are working to finish her vetting and she should be ready for adoption by mid September. She is too large to fit comfortably in an in cabin bag. We will post more as we get to know her more.
