mino
Breed Appearance: Doberman
Male
DOB: September 2023 | Weight: underweight
Mino was first spotted east of Bucerias, along the old highway, running west towards town. When Jessica saw him, she decided to turn around. By the time she located him, he was near a housing complex, Agave Azul, by a small pool supply store. He was in a deplorable state; severely underweight with a large wound on his neck. She rescued him and took him right to our vet.
Estimated to be 3 years old at the time of his rescue, he has many things going on. Besides the severe state of malnutrition, he was anemic, had erlichea, and his wound, a suspected bite, was full of screwworms. He spent one night at the vet before coming to the shelter. He was applied to kill his screwworms and the wound has slowly been healing.
He’s an amazing dog but he can be reactive. We truly feel he had an owner and either got lost or was abandoned. He listens well, does excellent around other dogs and people. He also walks really well on leash. He does seem to have some food aggression so needs to eat on his own. Mino is currently on medical hold to address all his health issues.
