Meet Nina, one of the shelter’s very first rescues and a true character in our pack. She arrived with TVT cancer, which was successfully treated. Since then, she has thrived — a busy, independent girl who loves to walk, swim, and chase iguanas. For Nina, life at the shelter has always felt like summer camp, full of activity and freedom.
Today, Nina lives in a forever foster home right next to the shelter, where she has the space to run to her heart’s content and a cozy place to rest inside. While she is not available for adoption, she remains a cherished sanctuary dog. We continue to provide all of her food, medical care, and financial support, ensuring she has everything she needs to stay healthy and happy.
Nina would love a home with lots of land to roam, but for now she is content, joyful, and deeply loved. She will remain under our care for the rest of her life, living each day with the freedom she deserves.
