On March 2 we welcomed three more dogs into our care; Scooby, Shaggy, and Paloma. They came from the same household in San José. We were told their owner had sadly passed away, and unfortunately there was no one left to care for them. Kind neighbors tried to help by feeding them all, but no one was able to take them in permanently. Paloma, the female, was in heat, which caused the males to begin fighting over her. Because of the ongoing conflict, we were contacted to help. They’re sweet dogs, just a bit cautious right now. It’s a lot for any dog to go from having a home, losing their owner, and suddenly finding themselves in a shelter.
We’ve started their vetting protocols. She is doing well and can be applied for now! She is on the small side of medium in size. She could be a lab mix with a small breed like Chihuahua or Beagle. We do not know her lineage.
