We were contacted by a woman on vacation asking if we could help a dog on the east side of Bucerias, who more or less lived under a truck. We were able to corner the dog and bring her to safety. Pazita, which means “little peaceful one” was named after the street she was rescued from, Calle Nuestra Señora de La Paz. This poor girl was in dire need of help.

At the time of her rescue, she has mange, fleas/ticks, erlichea and anemia. She also tested positive to heartworm which we will be treating. He belly was very bloated and she was underweight. She had an ultrasound done to determine if she was pregnant but thankfully at she was not. Of course she was treated for internal parasites.

Pazita is extremely nervous with people and it’s taking her some time to warm up. She is completely unphased by other dogs being around her. Until she gets used to people, she will run and hide. She has become quite comfortable with Karen, her rescuer, who makes sure to spend time with her almost every day. She is slowly gaining more energy and learning to trust. Her little tail wags are melting our hearts and we look forward to a time when she knows she is safe.

She is currently undergoing her vetting protocols and is not available for adoption at this time.
