This pup came into our care on December 12 after being posted on Facebook the night before as injured and alone on the streets of San Vicente. The kind people who found him knew he couldn’t be left there. He was clearly in pain, so they took him home and kept him safe for the night before bringing him to our vet the following day. We are so grateful for their compassion. Rafaello was underweight, alone, and suffering from a broken right femur. The fracture is clearly visible on the radiograph—no question why he was crying in pain. He was just a baby. The break was being closely monitored. The vet said surgery will not be necessary, as puppies his age can sometimes heal on their own.
When Rafaello first arrived, he was kenneled alone, but he’s now out in Puppyland with the other pups and he’s so much happier. He is incredibly sweet and loves being held and having his belly rubbed. We showered him with the love, care, and the nutrition he so desperately needed and he is doing fantastic. He can be applied for now.
