ramona
Female - Mixed Breed
DOB: February 2016 | Weight: 17kg
Ramona was first found in San José Plaza, Mexico, where she bravely led Jessica straight to her home. That’s when we discovered the full extent of her struggle. Ramona had given birth to four puppies in a hole, and when we found them, they were only 15 days old. Ramona’s owner allowed us to take her and her pups into care.
This resilient mama is a true survivor—she overcame distemper and received chemotherapy for TVT (transmissible venereal tumor). Despite everything she has endured, Ramona’s gentle nature shines through. She is a reminder to us of the incredible spirit of dogs who refuse to give up. She is now cancer free and looking for a home. She does great around other dogs and loves to snuggle into a good couch and blanket.
She was and still is an amazing mom to her puppies who still remain at the shelter. She is a happy girl who deserves the love of her own family. Adopting a senior dog is one of the most rewarding things someone can do. But don’t be fulled, she does not act like a senior!
