🐾 Our Resilient Senior Sanctuary Dog

Reuben’s story began when an architect from a construction company brought him to the shelter one evening. For the past three years, Reuben had been living at the construction site, cared for and fed by the workers. One day, they found him unable to walk — it was suspected he may have been run over.

We immediately arranged for Reuben to be transported to our vet, where he stayed for six days, slowly improving each day until he was able to walk again. We reached out to the architect, hoping Reuben could return to the place he had called home, but sadly we never received a reply.

Now, Reuben has found his forever place with us as a sanctuary dog. He enjoys the freedom of running and playing with the other free‑range dogs at the shelter, living out his senior years surrounded by care, companionship, and love.
