Scooby and two other pups (Shaggy & Paloma) came to us from San Jose, Mexico. They had an owner who sadly passed away. The neighbors had been feeding them but this wasn’t the most ideal situation. The two males then began fighting and it was over Paloma, who was in heat. Because of this they reached out asking if we could help. We were happy to accept them! It took some time for the males to relax and get comfortable. It’s a big change going from a home, with an owner, to a busy shelter. Paloma was adopted to Vancouver, BC so only Shaggy and Scooby remain.
Their personalities are really coming out. While they are buddies, they are not a bonded pair and can go to separate homes. Scooby is a happy guy. He does well with the other dogs but doesn’t love all the craziness. Because of this he sometimes retreats to a quiet kennel. But as soon as a human enters the area, he’s sure to come out for some attention. He is very sweet and already knows how to sit and shake. We know he would thrive in a home. He is now fully vetted and waiting for his perfect match!
