Scooby and two other pups (Shaggy & Paloma) came to us from San Jose, Mexico. They had an owner who sadly passed away. The neighbors had been feeding them but this wasn’t the most ideal situation. The two males then began fighting and it was over Paloma, who was in heat. Because of this they reached out asking if we could help. We were happy to accept them! It took some time for the males to relax and get comfortable. It’s a big change going from a home, with an owner, to a busy shelter. Paloma was adopted so only Shaggy and Scooby remain.
Their personalities are really coming out. While they are buddies, they are not a bonded pair and can go to separate homes. Shaggy is a happy guy. He does well with the other dogs and but at times prefers to retreat to a quiet kennel. He may have had an old injury to his back left leg. He walks and runs with ease, but seems to have a little imperfection in his leg suggesting he could have possibly been hit by a car or moto; we can’t be sure either way. He loves when people come into the area and is always one of the first to greet you with kisses. He is now fully vetted and waiting for his perfect match. He has great medium energy levels so would be a great adventure or couch buddy; the perfect combo!!
