Shannon’s story began with heartbreak. He once had owners who kept him tied up on a patio with a cord. When they moved away, they left him behind — loose on the streets, where he was struck by a car. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t as serious as feared, and he’s been safe at the shelter since 2021.

Today, Shannon has left that pain behind. He’s a funny, high‑energy boy who loves toys, fetch, and playing with other dogs — he’s wonderfully dog‑social and thrives in canine company. He’s learning to walk on leash and would make a fantastic running or hiking partner for an active adopter.

Because Shannon can be unpredictable at times, he’s best suited for a home without small children; kids 12 and older are recommended.
