🐾 Valentina — A Gentle Senior Who’s Overwhelmed by Shelter Life

Valentina is a beautiful senior lady who was found on the beach in Nuevo Nayarit, struggling with painful flea dermatitis and doing her best to survive. Even after everything, she carries herself with grace and a quiet sweetness that makes you want to sit beside her and tell her she’s safe now. She’s surprisingly active for her age, happy to trot around the yard and enjoy the sunshine. She’s dog‑social, and she does like being part of the group, but her heart belongs to people. Valentina wants to be close, noticed, and cherished — and in a shelter as loud and busy as ours, that’s nearly impossible.

Because she loves human attention so much, she can get overwhelmed when another dog pushes in during “her” moment. In the chaos of the shelter, that stress can come out as snapping at a dog. But this isn’t who she is at her core — it’s a reaction to an environment that’s simply too much for her.

In a calm home, Valentina would settle quickly, bond deeply, and finally exhale. She could live with another respectful dog, but she would truly shine as someone’s one-and-only companion, where she doesn’t have to compete for affection or navigate constant noise and excitement.

Valentina is absolutely adoptable — she just needs the right environment. She deserves a peaceful home, soft beds, gentle routines, and a person who wants a loyal senior by their side. After everything she’s survived, she’s ready for her quiet, loving chapter.
